DO YOU GUYS KNOW EXACTLY FOR WHAT CAR WERE THEY PRODUCED- I KNOW THE ARE REINFORCED- BUT I NEED EXACT SPECIFICATIONS ON HOW TO DISTINGUISH THE MEXICAN BLOCK FROM A REGULAR 302 ROLLER- I READ ON THIS LIKE 3-4 YEARS AGO- BUT I FORGOT- LET ME KNOW- AND DO THEY COME WITH SOME VIN NUMBERS OR SOMETHING THAT TELLS THEM APART FROM THE STOCK BLOCKS- IM PRETTY SURE THE MAINS LOOK DIFFERENT AND THE THICKNESS FROM THE CILINDER WALLS IS OBVIOUS- LET ME KNOW GUYS- ALL INFO WOULD BE GREATLLY APPRECIATE IT-

If I remember correctly it says something like "hencho en Mexico" (made in Mexico) in the lifter valley, it definately has beefier Mains, the sides are basically flat with no divits. I don't think the lifter bores are the correct hieght for the traditional Ford roller setup, but you can use the spider and dog bones with a special small base circle cam, as sold by Comp...or use link bar lifters with a standard hyd. roller cam if you are leaning that direction.

I thought it was settled that mexican blocks aren't any stronger than stock blocks?

I heard the Mexican made blocks had more nickel content in the metal and made them stronger, same with the Australian block if I can remember correctly

That's just a myth. The mexicans are a little stonger because of thicker main web casting and the walls are a little thicker/
