I ran a bbk 70mm when it was speed density. It ran fine. You shouldnt have a problem.

The best improvement in throttle response would probably be gained by switching from speed-density too mass air.
Jegs and summit both sell a kit that is reasonably priced and the only other thing you need is a computer (I picked up an A9L for 50$ and i have an X3Z for when i do my motor swap)
Before i had swapped in my mass air system i was running a 70mm BBK TB, but was having just as bad if not worse throttle response and the car was dying at idle. [ January 07, 2011, 12:10 PM: Message edited by: 86redGT ]

I still think stock to stock, speed density is faster than a mass air Mustang, if you are not planning on changing the injectors or the cam, then keep speed density. I put GT40 heads and intake and 75mm throttle body on my old 87 LX and ran 13s with a 308 gears and stock tires.

well i did the conversion for future mods..you can add a u/l intake 70 or 65 mm tb with no prob..stock for stock speed density should be faster

I like to run 10-12 degrees depending on gas used, but if I am using race gas I go 20 degress. But it looks like you have an arcing problem that I am curious to see how that is happening.
