Hey everyone my car is currently at HCI Motorsports here in Sac gettin a new shortblock my question is what headers should i go with? I want Mid-lengths are Bassani's a good choice? Or should i look elsewhere? Please let me know so i can buy them and take them over to Cole at HCI and he can finish up my motor.

Why mid-lenghts?....Why not just go with full lengths?...Both are illegal, but the full lengths give more power....
You can't go wrong with any of the Bassani products....

Griggs Racing makes a full length trick header for your car if Cole is building the motor healthy. Look on their site under "new products"

I hear the long tubes are good but you have to remove them if you need to take the tranny out for any reason ei a clutch job. is this true?

yes that is true except with Hooker Super Competition headers. Those are wide enough and make great power. You can't go wrong with Bassani but anyone on the site will tell you if it doesn't have to do with suspension then you don't want anything to do with griggs [ January 27, 2004, 02:14 PM: Message edited by: DropTopFox ]

Thank you everyone for all the post. I think I'm gonna go with the Bassani Mid-Lengths as I can still get to the tranny and it's still much better than the stock exhust manifolds.

SVT-Parker...what car is yours @ HCI? My car is the white one. For headers I would suggest HOOKER HEADERS and get them JET-HOTT coated as well. It took me awhile to figure which ones i wanted. But I took the advice from COLE himself. And hookers make great HP with DOHC motors and have more tranny clearence then other ones.

after going to H.C.I. with my buddy to check on his Cobra, I want a four valve. Go with the long tubes

i went with the hookers,my advice if ur not gonna drop the k member put the driver side header on the motor before u drop it in.i did this the second time i installed my motor and it saved me some much time and headache. for the $ i would also go with the full lengths, u will see the best gains from them

If your going to be doing any maintenance yourself then stick with the mid-lengths. Thats what I will be using, they will still have a good power increase while making it difficult for any officers to realize anything aftermarket is there.
