I have 4 cats and dont want to go offroad , so will removing 2 cats from a stock h pipe make it a bit louder? I am running bbk shortys and 10 series flowmasters.

I've never removed the cats from a stock h pipe, but I have ran the 2 cat h pipes and they're always a little louder than stock, so I would imagince removing 2 cats would produce a similar result in being a little louder

a smog tech told me he didnt care if there was 4 cats, as long as you had 2...so i guess its entirely up to the tech on something like that...

I agree don't ruin your stock h pipe you can buy an offroad X off clist or brand new for about the same as modifying your pipe! I run an BBK X pipe no cats out borla stingers and is not obnoxiously loud and when smog time comes I bolt up my stock h pipe pass with flying colors and swap it out for another two years!
