5.0 motor
i know the tq. pattern and i was told that i should tq them to 25 ft-lbs in sequence than do it again at 25ft-lbs in sequence again. is this true.
also what is everybodys opinion on using the front and rear rail gaskets or just rtv?

i think it was go throught the seq tq them down to 16 then go around again at 20 then at 25.

i haven't seen or heard anyone talk about a three step system

I would use RTV I always had better luck getting it to seal up right, also you probably want to go over the intake a few times in sequence at 25ft-lbs to make sure they are all tight

Re-torque them again in sequence after a few heat cycles also. They always come loose after you run the motor.

and that's in/lbs not ft/lbs.

i got a hold of some torque specs and its foot pounds not inch pounds
