i went to change my oil today and i just loosened the oil plug a little and water started draining out. it was about six ounces that came out. this made me kinda scared, so i checked my radiator and it looked absolutely clean, no oil at all. i have seen what a blown head gasket will do to the radiator fluid and it looked nothing like a milkshake in there. any ideas?

Use a pressure checker and pump the radiator. With the oil plug out, see if your getting any more fluid or coolant out of the oil drain plug. Leave a clean pan under there over night.
Good luck.

a blown headgasket blows randomly, it wont always put water in the oil, it wont always put oil in the coolant, it wont always smoke white smoke, it wont always have 0 compression in the cylinder.
the water in your oil got there somehow, do a leakdown test on all cylinders and a compression test.
but IMO the headgasket is blown and you need to just find out which side it's on so you know which head to take off.

it could also be a cracked intake manifold or timing cover gasket

Just curious, do you run open beathers on your valve covers?...In the cooler winter days you'll get moisture inside your valve cover....
.........Just something that might get overlooked, especially if your engine is running fine....
Good luck

That might be it. He may have just pulled the intake without draining the coolant first. That would leak plenty into the crankcase.
Or the gasket didn't seal right around the intake ports.
