Jim, It's possible, but a total P.I.T.A !!! I actually had to use a torch on mine to burn the old rubber and then beat the sleeve out with a B.F.H Good Luck Brian

You just want to take the rubber bushings out or the bushings and steel cups? You can use a drill to get the rubber out. I used a 1/2" bit and just kept drilling and prying on the rubber pieces. It takes a bit of time but can be done in the driveway. Make sure no little kids are around though since you might just use some language they don't hear very often. Good luck.

Well, The instructions just say to remove the stock bushings. Just will have to start and see if the damn shell has to go...

I've always just installed Poly's in there, instead of the entire bushing/shell. With Poly inserts, you can use the old shells over. Of course, as long as your old shells are still in OK shape...
With the poly inserts, I'm usually done in about 45 minutes.

Jim,
If you are just installing poly bushings definitely DO NOT remove the bushing cup. Just remove the factory rubber bushing and grease up the outside and inside of the new poly bushings and slide them in. Then slide/hammer in the steel inner sleeves.
