just step down to a synthetic that is more affordable. Mobile 1 has always been god to me. In my pinion with conventional oil and length of time it lastS vs synthetic it all equals out in the end. The best bet would be the new Amsoil, they guarantee their oil for normal use for 25k or 1 year of use. Hard to beat that, and there are some local dealers. ya redline is good for 15k and i get it at work for 7.50 a qt but it adds up with 6 qts and a filter to like 60 bucks, just tryin to save a pretty penny lol, but i get what your saying with not having to do as many changes vs every 5k or so [ July 05, 2012, 12:15 AM: Message edited by: SwEeT 03 Gt ]

Go with mobile 1. Best stuff out there for the price. Usually a dollar or two cheaper than redline or rp but still use good base stock. Walmart practically gives Mobil away.

Motorcraft synthetic blend is really good. When money was tight I switched to it on my 4.6 DOHC.
