I wanna change the valve springs on my AFR 185's. How do I do this with the heads bolted to the block?

You need an air compressor with a fitting that will screw into the spark plug hole, and a valve spring compressor tool. Pump 100psi into the cylinder then use the spring compressor to remove the valve locks.

Kragan's has a crappy $15 valvespring compressor tool that works fine

Springs are swapped! Thanx Chris (xcessive50)... I picked up the tool from Sears for like-$15. We only pumped 25 psi into em & it worked great! Thanx 4 d tips yall! [ February 10, 2004, 10:27 PM: Message edited by: Rhombeus50 ]
