I want to get some nice longtube headers for my car but every pair I look at says 5 speeds only. WHy won't they fit on my car or will they and if they won't then where can I get some that will fit???

The bellhousing on the AOD is larger than the one on the T5. That is why most long tubes don't fit AOD's. Check out MAC. They have an AOD spec long tube, but don't expect the best quality if it says "MAC" on the box.

I had a set of 1 3/4" MAC longtubes in my car when it was a 5 speed.I purchased them as a "5 Speed Only" set not thinking of ever going auto.Well 10 5 speeds later I decided to go with an auto which was a C-4 with the BIG Bellhousing and Flywheel.I used my existing "5 Speed" headers and never had a problem.
And I never had any complaints as far as quality on these headers.
Hope this helps

Remember though, that the AOD(E) is alot bigger than the C-4. There are many custom header companies that will mork, here are some places to start: Cooks headers Panhandle performance Lentech Automatics (no, they don't make headers but they offer great advice and are the AOD/Mustang experts!!)
Lastly, a tubular K member will free up lots of space. This would be a good time to get one and install headers & K member at the same time.
