Ok, i want to know from experienced people here... Do the axles of 99+ GT's break if you run slicks? I have heard a bunch of people say they do on another board, but i think those people just misinformed... Anyone know from experience... I have a few friends that say that it will never happen with the amount of power i'm puttin down..
Thanks.... Justin

It's a toss up. Some rear ends just can't handle it from the factory. The odds are in your favor but it could always happen.

I've seen people we 500hp and up with 31 spline axles run slicks and be all good. But then I've also seen a stock mach 1 with slicks break an axle.

It better be all good with 31 splines unless you mean it was running 28's
