Got smogged today - passed - but failed. I passed out the tailpipe, but the guy failed me for the 42lb injectors. He said "I can't pass you with those injectors because they weren't factory injectors on the GT." He said if I can get him a CARB EO# then he'll pass me. Anybody know if FRPP 42lb'ers carry a CARB number? [ November 15, 2002, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: TM88GT ]

other option would be to get yourself some modeling paint w/ a fine brush and go over them in the stock factory color.

what a friggen gobbler. if you passed tail pipe emissions and he failed you on a visual modifaction hes a communist prick, ass sucking, cum guzzling, pelosi supporting liberal homo bitch. its none of her (fagotity ass) business what you do to YOURE car.

I have 42's and to my knowledge they dont carry a carb number. Your best bet would be to just find another smog shop. For the guy to know the injector color and size means he just knows to friggin much so I suggest going around the corner to the next shop. Good luck!!!

He does - it was a Mustang shop - Advanced Autosport in Oakland. The regular Mustang tech guy is no longer there, and this new guy is.......well......anal. He asked what cam was in there(Crane 2031), and asked about my exhaust (FRPP shorties - Bassani x with cats, magnaflows).
Someone please PM me a place to get smogged. This is getting ridiculous.

I think i might know why, lee the guy that owns advanced would smog ANYTHING for a price. My guess is that he got poped and now he walks the straight and narrow.

That's the thing - it wasn't Lee. My car has passed before with 24lb'ers and 36lb'ers at Advanced. Never had to pay anything more than the smog fee. At the time, Kelly was Lee's main Mustang guy. Kelly no longer works there. This new guy (don't know his name) is a stickler for CARB #'s. [ November 15, 2002, 06:13 PM: Message edited by: TM88GT ]

trust me most gas station guys are dipshits. you wont even need to say anything unless you have a large blower or N2O bottle in your passenger seat. they couldnt tell my damn engine from a stock one.

Terrence, either try another place, or give me a call on Tuesday, and I'll point you to a place near APEX that only cares about the tailpipe test. I send everyone there, and as long as it passes the sniffer, it's all good!
