me and dad are taking the engine out of my 73 mustang there's only one bolt left that bolt is the one that's on the top of the starter and the starter connects the engine to the tranny with 2 bolts one is out but the bolt is stripped from the head really bad, no wrench or anything can take it out, and to make matters worst its in a really tight spot so we cant get channel locks in there or anything, so we were thinking just getting a torch and torching it off but no one that we know has a torch we can borrow...any ideas on how to get that bolt out of there?

You have a few options:
1) Buy yourself a Mapp gas can and torch head ($15). Torch the bolt till it gets red hot, then use some vise grips to remove it.
2) Use an angle grinder to remove the head.
3) Drill a hole into the bolt and use a tap extractor. [ July 11, 2011, 02:41 AM: Message edited by: Rigo5.0 ]
