i just bought some energy suspension front control arm bushings and had them pressed into some control arms, but they just dont look right to me. one of them goes all the way in and the other one sticks out and doesnt go all the way in??? is that how they are supposed to be??? i would put up pictures but im not sure how so if i could email them to someone and they could put them up for me i would appreciate it. THANKS.

Every arm I've ever seen had the bushings pressed flush to the face of the arm. If it isn't then take it back and finish the pressing work.
BTW... The wheels are great. Thanks.

I can't be sure but that looks very wrong to me. Call apex and have them take a look at the thread. Ed can prolly tell you over the phone if it's ok.

i dont know if u can really tell by the pic but look at the last one and u can see that the outside of the bushing is bigger than the part on the inside , thats why it stopped right there.

It's not pressed in completely. Take them to a machine shop that actually knows how to use a press and have them installed correctly.
Edit: you WILL have to remove some of the material from the control arm in order to get them to fit. [ March 31, 2005, 08:03 AM: Message edited by: JohnB ]
