I'm finaly set to install the electric fan from a taurus but I want to know 2 things before I do this. Where does the coolant enter the radiator? Is it the bottom driver side hose or the top passenger side hose? And also, what temperature should I set the controller at to activate the fan? I was going to set it to 195 but figured I should check first. I have a 180* thermostat in there and it is a stock 5.0.

set the fan to come on right as the thermo openes
the water come into the radiator at the top and gets sucked out the bottom

Doesn't the engine operate most efficiently at about 200*? I could be mistaken but it just seems like it should be set higher then 180. And should I place the thermal probe near where the hot coolant (from the engine) goes into the radiator or somewhere else?

200 is too hot, the motor will run fien but it doesnt run best at 200
if the best temp was at 200 dont u think that a 180* thermo would be a waste
