As I'm out running a few errands this morning...I jump out on the freeway, boost begins to climb..I make my last shift, and pop...the drivers side head gasket goes. I knew it was only a matter of time, as this is an all original 302 in my Cobra(77k miles). I guess 10-11 lbs of Boost just didn't get along with the stock head gaskets.
It's going to be parked now until I decide what route to go. I'm stuck on the idea of a new stroker...
C'mon Jeff..make me a deal on that 347 you've got!

I think you were just running too much timing for this heat streak we've been having. Swap head gaskets, bump your timing down 2 degrees and forget about it

I'd agree...but it was at about 9.30 am...and timing is at 8*. Obviously, something was wrong. 0hhhhhh joy, another engine teardown.

Dave- Did you sell the blower already? Thought you would keep that along with the blower, sell it all as a kit.
If you wanna part with it, lemme know what you want for it.
