ok my gauge wont move at all since i bought the car what process should i do to fix it

take out the guage cluster and see if the speedo cable is plugged in, then trace that cable and see if its plugged into the trans.
once you determine that take them apart and see what part isn't working, you should be able to pull the cable out of the trans and spin it freely with the speedo gear by hand

i would pull the end off that runs into the trans first to see if the gear is all chewed up.
it's alot easier to get to.
