So I have a fiberglass Cervini's Stalker front bumper (94 GT). I like the bumper, but it isn't in the best condition (I'll upload detailed pictures tonight). Basically lots of rock chips, good amount of bottom scraping from previous owner, and a part where someone backed into it that left about an inch long, half inch tall chip just below the hood (and nice little license plate bolt scrapes).
Question is, is it even worth fixing (I couldn't do work myself) or should I just sell it as a fixer upper and buy a Cobra bumper (someone sellin one on here for like $200 bucks). [ April 05, 2004, 06:53 PM: Message edited by: 94Blackout ]

If you like the stalker better it sounds like a shop could fix it nicely for less than the $200 you are looking to pay for a cobra bumper cover.

I like the Stalker a lot, but I also like the Cobra bumper as well. I think I'm basically going off the assumption that the work would be over 2 hundred bucks to fix... I will have to get pictures to get a better estimate because my guess probably isn't that accurate.

You'd have to fix that cobra bumper too.

I saw pictures of the black one, it doesn't look like it is in bad shape at all... very minor scratches that I probably wouldn't even fix (I'm not lookin for show quality or anything).
I wish I could fix it too, but mine looks to need fiber patches that would need shaping and the whole thing needs to be sanded/painted. Something I definately couldn't do.

Okay, so anyone out there know of someone that could hook me up then? Even if you can do a good side job, let me know.

So assuming that fixing the fiberglass alone will only be 60-100 bucks, doesn't it cost more than $100 to get a bumper sprayed and finished?

Depends if you "know" someone. If not, it will to have it done "nicely."

So where did all this under $200 bucks stuff come from? Sounds like it is easily a 250-300 dollar job?

It's your car and you seem to want to believe that it will cost too much and clearly want the cobra cover so, YA it will cost 4 or 500. I'd get that cobra cover in a HURRY!!! Your Stalker one is jacked!

Its not that I seem to think it will cost too much, just haven't heard from anyone otherwise.
I called a few shops and without even looking at it have got answers in the 400 dollar range, and nobody except NorCal has made a bid to hook up the work, and he cant paint it.
