[QUOTE]Originally posted by ponykid90: [QB] i recently just changed over to gt40p heads from stock heads, i was wondering is the height of the rockers/heads higher than stock rockers/heads ... the reason I ask is because i used my regular ford valve covers on the gt40p heads and im getting a ticking sound, sounds like its coming from valve cover area... just put motor in, new seals, gaskets, 20w-50 oil, everything torqued to specs.... any ideas?? If u are using aftermarket rockers then you will need to remove the baffles from the valve covers..
If you removed the baffles already, go back & check to make sure the valves are adjusted properly..
I usually use 10w-30 or 10w-40 oil..
