Originally posted by Sonic96GT: [QB] I have a high idle problem with my 96gt. Its so annoying especially with my exhaust. It idles at 2000 rpms then drops to 1500rpm then back up. Its Up and down It drives fine for the most part. Sometimes it idle's fine at 800rpm. But that is rare. I noticed when I unplug my battery for about 15 minutes. My idle is good for about a day. Then when I start it up the next day, or drive it a bit hard it will kick back up. Also, my idle all the way on the lowest setting. Anyone have any clues? [/QB]
Intake leak...either gasket, EGR, or the manifold itself is cracked.
