Originally posted by tjnsr: [QB] Just finished the install of an 86 5.0 motor in my 1964 F100. It has a carb on it now and the engine runs great (thanks Johnb) but the (old, and that may be the problem) mechanical fuel pump is making a ton of clatter. I was thinking of replacing the pump to see if that fixes it, however, I'm getting alot of clatter from the front cover as well (eccentric?). Any thoughts would be appreciated. [/QB]
