I have two different sets of almost new mufflers. Both are two chamber 40 series. Gonna run dumps but still considering reusing tail pipes. One set has center inlet and offset outlet. The other,offset inlet and offset outlet. Either one is good for me,but I know there will be a slight sound difference. Leanin' towards the offset in and out cause the other set looks kinda funny to me with a center inlet. The muffler shop can get either set to work though.

What's the question?....
Dumps or tail pipes is a personal preference...FYI the Flowmaster cat backs for a 5.0 come with offset in and offset out...
