2vs benefit from more gear due to lack of torque. As stated before different setups need different gearing. I also had 410s in my old 94 gt and it was like driving on ice and first gear was usually useless, but 410 in my 2v work amazing. Hell, if you have a good enough tire then go 430s.

Yea sticking with the 2v motor maybe upgrade to newer pi motor instead of pi head swap... and those gears will work wondrs from the sound of it .. . So what is that 4+ for 4.10 and 1+ for the 3.73 haha

4.10s on a 2v. if you plan on FI someday, I'd go 3.55s or 3.73s though.

Thinking I could just get it smogged b4 I do the swap here next month.. but what kills its ability to pass smog ?? The slight bump in compression ??

Does anyone actually have real info why the PI head swap doesn't pass smog? The cars that fail. Do they fail because they are not burning clean? Is it the tune the causes it to fail? Im not sure why this swap would cause a fail unless its a visual thing. Also the compression would be higher but also needs to run 91 to keep from detonation.

Thats what im trying to figure out myself because I cannot find any solid information on what causes it to fail ? Ive had several people tell me it will pass the sniffer but not sure

I have done a search and come up with no valid info. All the guys either don't smog or fail because of aftermarket parts nothing related to the PI swap causing a fail smog
