I have custom built motors in my foxes and the 302 block is the only thing made by ford. Everything else is aftermarket, SRP, ARP, Federal Mogul, Edelbrock, AFR, etc. I don't see how bowtie parts are any different.
I guess there are some real ford fanatics out there who only buy aftermarket Ford brand parts, but most people are pretty flexible about what they put in.

LOL this thread is great!!!! I say do what you want its YOUR time and money. If your bud wants to do it then that's all good. Lots of people go that route and pretty soon you'll see chevy based motors in just about everything. There are tons of after market support for that swap so its not that hard at all. Like others said contact Team Solo he's got an 8 sec fox with a chevy motor.
I like the Fox idea. Those cars are a dime a dozen and very cheap with tons of proven after market upgrades. In fact I was looking into doing a supra motor in one but I just don't have the time for another project right now. But I do have the motor, trans and foxbody. Just not the time. I remember when they put a Skyline motor in the fastback in the most recent Fast and Furious. That shit was bad ass!!!!!

im in the process of doing this right now aje and pa racing both make k members. kooks and lemmons both make headers but kooks are cheaper. you will probably need a custom driveshaft which is about 3-4 hundred and can be ordered from numerous companies. im using a 350 with a turbo 350 and the trans crossmember lined up perfectly. not sure with your aplication.
