I installed 410 gears on my 1992 fox with an aod. Now my speedometer shows 100mph when I am going 70mph. This is with a 21 tooth speedo gear. Is there anything I can do to correct this? Has anyone used a mechanical speedo adapter?

best to use a custom speedo adapter, I tried using a 23t speedo gear in my wife's `91 AOD, and the first gear got chewed up backing out of the driveway, the next 23t I tried lasted a week and then anything over 50mph it read 120+, half the teeth got chewed up on that one.
pretty fun to have to flush the trans fluid because of a stupid speedo gear.
the other way, as mentioned is changing the drive gear in the trailshaft.

not using one, on my wifes car I put 3.55's into it with the AOD and just live with the 21t speedo gear being a little bit off on the freeway, it's not much.
