I am not a fan of either heads, why not a TFS R heads or a Edelbrock Victor Heads? I would talk to Total Engine Airflow or Foxlake to see what would work for what you are doing. You are going to want somebody like them to setup your heads for a 427, either it be better valve train or minor port work.

deck height is going to be 9.5, unless you buy a yates style block.
