Whats the possiblilty of getting a bad cam? I just have this sick feeling that I got a cam that may not have been correct. Its a crane cam 2030, which I believe they dont make any more. Anyway, is it possible?

I had a friend that built a 347 and can't remembre what cam he had, I think I was a comp. But got everything together (brand new parts) and fire it up, it had 2 dead holes, we tried chasing the problem down and came to the conclusion had no compression in 2 cylinders. He toad it Down and re ringed it. Same problem so he thought maybe the cam is doing it, swapped cam and everything was fine, so a cam can be bad, never rule anything out unless your 100% sure it's not that, just cause somethings new doesn't mean anything.

The Crane 2030 became the Compucam sometime around 2003-2004. With it being a roller camshaft, it is very hard to ruin it to the point it would cause issues with the motor. What is it doing Mike that you don't think it's correct? Feel free to call me if you wanna chat about it, my phone is actually working now. lol

Thinking maybe we got the wrong part number somehow or the wrong non ho firing order but I figured the issue out today.
Bad injectors that somehow worked perfect on the last motor........go figure.
Runs like a raped fuckin ape now.
Thanks for brain storming.
