I didn't realize how bad the trim looked on my 91 vert until I saw one at the Vic Hubbard show tonight that had resprayed his.
I'm going to do the cowl vent, windshield trim, all trim around the tops of the doors, mirrors and maybe the trim strip that runs around the middle of the car.
These are all different types of materials and surfaces but being as I hate paint and bodywork is there one good type of prep and brand of paint that will work best? Do I have to prime, or can i just scuff and paint? Does gloss or satin finish look better?
Any help appreciated!

SEM makes a trim black paint that is damn near perfect match for OE on foxes.

make sure you sand everything down to a smooth finish and have a 400grit pass on everything before you spray.

I'm in the process on my convertible and coupe right now, so far just done the mirrors, wiper arms, and door sill pieces but they've come out perfect and I can't wait to do the 1/4 windows and door surround on my coupe.

Any body shop supply store will carry it, or a decent auto parts store will probably carry it as well. Great satin black sheen and easy to work with, makes a huge difference when all the trim is freshly painted satin black.

Go to Ned's paint shop in Antioch. Right off HWY 4. About $20 a can.
