big ass waste of money if you still have the power levels that a stock 5.0 block can handle.

Run the stock one, and spend the money you save on something benificial!!!
I bought a new MSD "billet" distributor for my race car. The car started once for the first time with a new motor/car, and would not start again. We checked everything twice, and ended up installing a stock one. I called MSD, and they said the internal guts were probably bad. I wanted to send it back, but they said it would be easier if I replaced the internals myself. They told me to go to the local parts store, and buy the stock internals, because that is what is in the MSD piece. Basically, you get a shiny housing, and a roller brearing for all that cash. I run the stock one in my car still.
I have a new MSD distributor with one start on it if you are interested?

I bought one for my 91 left me stranded in the parking lot. I did send it back in for warranty and it has been fine ver since. I won allot of money on the poker table so that is why I bought mine. I didn't have to save for it..
