I was just wondering if anybody knew of the cheapest place to get paint done, im not looking for a show winning finish, just something to cover up all the oxidation and yellow bumper plastic.

Avoid Maaco, they are rip off artists and their paint jobs suck.

I've heard Scheib is ok but not great.

I've used Miracle and they did a fantastic job. Their prices are slightly higher but still under $1000 and the paint quality is great. My car didn't even need buffing afterward.

u might want to check craigslist also in the auto services. there are a few places that advertise on there for really inexpensive paint jobs. not anywhere close to maaco's $500 paint job but around $1500 for ppg. if you're looking at minimal prep work the price may be cheaper but u know the saying " u get what u pay for"

The 67, here are pix. I'll have it at the car show too so you can see it in person if you go.

Due to the rallye stripes, the total cost of this paint job was $1150. Would have been $800 for a single color.

Or, if you want to go even cheaper, how about the $50 do it yourself paint job ?

I tried it on my coupe and it came out nice, but not as nice as a professional spray job.

My boi got his 90 Notch painted the same color at Earl's. His has a 4 or 5 year warranty and is starting to chip around the trunk so he is going to get it repainted. He didn't prep his himself at all before it was painted though, if he would have it would have come out better.

I just have to ask....why did you only spend that much on a paint job when i know the body kit costs almost 3x the price of painting? but i must say it look's like it turned out pretty good espacially for what you paid for it. [patriot]

The body kit cost me $1800 and the paint cost me $1150. But I think you answered your own question - because I spent all my money! [Big Grin]
