I was wondering about running synthetic oil and when to change the oil? Does syn break down like normal oil over time? I think my last oil change year LOL, but I never thought about oil breakdown until recently. Its castrol 10/30 I think, and I might have 1000 miles tops on this oil...Its still fresh and clean ![[Smile]](smile.gif) Thanks for the help.

I would just stay with the 10 30. I tried Synthetic on one of my previous cars and I think I did it incorrectly and blew the motor. Or maybe I had an oil leak too. Oh well, if it aint broke don't fix it.

I am running 5w30 Mobil 1 in both my Mustang and my Jeep. Its good stuff.
