In the box on the left the roller tip is coming out, what does this mean? Are these rockers worn and in need of being replaced? The arrow on the box on the right indicates the movement of the tip. This isn't regually right? IT doesn't look like it to me. We took of the covers to oen of my friends motors and found a few of the rockers to be just like this. So now what should he do

I don't know if it is possible to rebuild them. If it was my car I would replace them instead of trying to mess with it. If you try and fix it and it doesn't work then you will be pulling the thing apart again to replace them anyway. Also, I don't think I want my RR coming apart when I rev the car up to 6 grand. This could result in more damage.

Common problem with the Crane/93-95 Cobra 1.72 rockers. Happened to me.....& one of my buddies. When used with an aggressive camshaft profile they'll push the pins out....which leads to total engine failure as you run the risk of dropping a valve.
DO NOT buy the same rockers! Buy higher quality rockers like Comp ProMagnums or Scorpians (if you must have 1.7's).

I've ran the blue Ford Motorsport 1.72 ones for over 5,000 miles on my old '88 Vert. The Pedestal Mount never loosened up on me at all.
I wouldn't look for the cheapest rockers around. A $50 savings in cheaper parts might destroy a piston head. Is it really worth it in the end?
