I plan to eventually go mid to low 9's. wondering if anyone knows if I can get by with 31's and a detriot or do I need to upgrade to a spool and 33's and c clip elims.?? I kind of like to think I can drive it on the street. Thanks guys, Alan. [burnout]

you can run 9's with a locker and 31 splines. id go with stronger axles though.

i know a lot of people that have mini and full spools that drive their cars on the street. i have a minispool in my car and have NO problems with it. I even autocross it. Ive put over 10,000 miles on it.

I'd keep the 8.8 31 spline it bolt on 9" axles and a t/a girdle.

I don't know about just bolting on the 9" axels but I know you can get the 9" tubes welded on then they use 9inch axels and that would be the best way and then you wouldn't have to use the C-clip eliminators
