Is that TrentK from corral.net? If so, that guy deserves everything he has got. If he spent half as much time in the garage as he spends on the keyboard he wouldn't be in this predicament.
Some great quotes from his combos:
"Small custom cam by Ed Curtis for my current 3.27 gears and heavy weight. Later swapped for 3.73 gears and a bigger cam." -- Its good to know that you should upgrade your cam when going from stock gears to 3.73's. Let me write this down so all my combos can be as successfull as his.
"MSD Timing Adjuster: Very cool, now I can adjust the timing from inside the car. However it isn't very accurate. " -- Very cool indeed! We all know that if you want your Mustang to be fast, you have to adjust your timing three... four times a day.
"The x-pipe is great , even if it doesn't make more hp than the h-pipe the sound is the tie breaker. Get an x- pipe!" -- Let me make a note of this. I'm not trying to make more HP here, I just want to sound cool when I rev at Civics.
"Ed Curtis is a great guy in the Mustang world. If you have been reading The Corral then you know that everything he touches hauls ass. " -- I guess his own combos must be one of many many exceptions to his claim!!!!
Someone please buy him a LS1 and a nitrous kit. Putting together a 5.O greatly exceeds his mental capabilities.

oh crap I missed the E.C. stuff. found the place on a random google search, has built and destroyed about 5 different motors it looks like. Nice. I'm feeling pretty good about myself after having read that seems like an ok guy though, honestly, just made a bunch of mistakes.

And wtf is this, lol:

Wow..I never knew a person could have that much ignorance. Just some things I noticed:
quote: I put the AFR's on and the car felt really strong...for about 2 weeks. I took the car to the track and it was slower than before and it was fouling the #7 plug again. I ran as low as 88 mph that night!!! So I decided to buy a whole new engine.
After buying 2 sets of heads he still had a problem, instead of fixing it he throws more money at it! Fix the problem first! Wouldn't a valve job, new valve springs, guides & seals be a cheaper alternative to a whole new engine?
quote: The old 331 failed due to the rings butting out and tearing the engine up.
Okay, improper ring installation from the engine builder. Lesson learned: do not go back to that engine builder OR better yet, BUILD YOUR OWN or find a more reputable person to build the next one.
quote: My second 331 from Duffee failed a leakdown test.
WOW, Why go to the same builder that destroyed the first engine? So what it's at a "discounted rate" he fubar'd the first one up . A downtime of 9 weeks is also ridiculous. YOU LOSE..
quote: Duffee maintains that something with my combo or some other factor must have led to both of the engines getting tore up. Independent inspection showed the ring gap was much larger than the manufacturer specifications. The End.
Wow you got ripped a new a$$hole. Scanning his site, I noticed he blew his rear-main seal 3 times. That alone would make me go insane, especially if you installed it with the engine still in the car. Lesson learned: Don't throw $$ at people that can't back up their work or a problem un-diagnosed in the first place!
I will now check the Ring end-gap on my Short block again after seeing this web-site! [ December 15, 2003, 01:27 AM: Message edited by: 88DroptopGT ]

You guys sure do post a lot of shit yourselves!
Trent's got more sense about mustangs then most on this board.
If you're going to post crap like this about the guy, grow some balls & post up on his website & see how fun it is. www.turbomustangs.com/forums/ Or maybe I'll just invite those guys over here.... Somehow I really don't think some of you would like that.
