All right, over the past few months I've gotten a 306 with Edelbrock Performer Aluminum heads, an e-cam, motorsport rockers, GT-40 upper/lower, 77mm Pro-M with 24lb injectors, FPR, 190lph pump, 70mm TB, and a few other misc parts. Right now I'm being told to ditch the heads for some GT-40 heads, get a cobra EIC (or whatever its called that reads the air coming through the MAF and tells it how much fuel to give it) and possibly even that my 24's might be too much so i should go with 19's and a c&l MAF. Does this sound right??? Are my heads too much. I've only got the 190 intake valve so its not that bad. WHAT SHOULD I DO??? I need info please. Thanks.

That sounds like bad advise....Keep your car the way it is...
I dont think that 24#'s are too big, just leave them...I have 24#'s and I still have stock heads and cam!...The Edelbrock Performers out flow GT40 heads...
If your lookin for a little more performance I would try a different cam and maybe get the heads cleaned up/polished...

the cobra computer sucks. if anything you should get the PIH harness and a fox computer. but that is the same price as a dyno tune

if you think you have too much fuel, and not enough air, theres only one thing to do... Buy a blower. Cant go wrong with that.
You wanna max out those 24 pounders? Get an S-trim.

Yeah, I remember the deer. I had hair in the crack of my paint for like a month. so it seems that should keep my heads and get a different computer/wiring harness. if I were to just dyno tune it would they be able to get everything adjusted so that it ran perfect??? I haven't touched any of the electronics except for the MAF so I'm guessng that I need to change some more of that so that the computer is calibrated to the MAF and injectors. I dunno all that much about car computers so I could sure use advise on that. Also Eric, my car still pings when I step on it hard. not so much when its cold but definitely when it warms up. I was told stock timing is -10 degrees before top dead center. WHat the hell does before top dead center mean??? I've gotta change some crap to get it to stop pinging and I've bumped up fuel pressure and all that so I dunno what's up. Anyways help on the computer crap and advice on the pinging would be appreciated. Thanks.

That sounds cool but I'd need to find out where you are in sac, and how much you're going to charge. I was out of work for a couple of months and am trying to catch up so I don't a whole lot of cash. Thanks for the offer. Also I think that I am probably going to keep the alum. heads because everyone is telling me that the other guy was full of crap for telling me to trade them for gt-40's. Sorry. I'll give you a call. Thanks man.
