Posting for a friend & car hesitates at tip in & breaks up a bit in the upper range. He changed the fuel pump & filter already. Anyone experience this before?

I meal tip in like when you have it in neutral and you rev it and it hesitates for an instant the. Rev's up, also some break up in upper rpm range. Yes traction control is off. The car is all stock.

He could be having a slight misfire and it may not be showing a code. have him pull his plugs and inspect them also inspect the coil on plug modules for cracks as well.

My car did that before. It had a dirty mass air flow sensor.
