91 coupe. I just got done removing the ac compresser from the front engine accessories and from the fire wall that goes to the heater core. I remove the dash and I remove the whole ac and heater core container ( that big ass black box ). Im going to buy a ac delete braket and a shorter belt. Question 1 Do I really need that big ass black box? 2 Will it affect smog? 3 Will it create Vaccum leaks ? 4 There is metal piping on top of the lower intake manifold that goes to the water pump, How do I bypass it? And any thing else I need to do? Ps Sorry for the whole write up

If you don't want heat any longer then pull out that big black box. As per the water line question , just loop the hose back into that piping . But don't kink that hose make sure it's a nice loop. You want good circulation . Plug the vacuum line that connected to the heater box, that comes threw the firewall on the passenger side. As for smog, AC and the heater box have nothing to do with smog.
