I didn't install it but I have an 8.8 on my 68. what are you looking to find out?

its been done. alot of people use explorer 8.8s for the disk, 5 lug, 3.73s limited slip and 31 spline.

welding in the percehs was the hardest part, great upgrade, next time im just gona scrap the leaf springs and go control arms in the old school

You will need brake line adapters but you can get those from autozone. Not sure if you have the right u bolts but i know for the explorer rear end i wasnt able to reuse my old ones from the 8 inch. I also used the stock explorer shock mount and had a piece welded on so i can use mustang shocks. Hope this helps

I just picked up two explorer 8.8s for my 69 and 65. Tons of literature our there. For a little bit of work its a bad a** set up!
