Hey guys as some of you guys no i got my car back i have already put 96 miles on it
But im having problems with my cooling system here is what I dual contour fans 2 row radiator 180t stat fans are kicking on
When im driving down the road cruis or whatever temp is good might bounce around a bit
But when I come into town stop and go temp starts shooting up maybe a little less than 3/4 I did a pressure test and it checked out fine i burped the system with out the funnel
Idk if its my water pump or what it's not leaking or loosing coolant just getting warm

I think I forgot to mention at cold cold start the temp heats up to a 1/4 in less than 1 min.

the impellers would not be pushing the water the right direction if its a standard rotation w/p

Factory temp gauge? if so, try an aftermarket gauge to make sure you are getting an accurate reading. Maybe replace the temp sending unit. Does your radiator have any cool spots at operating temp?

fresh engines usually run a bit warmer than usual during the break-in period.

This is all good to no info im going to check for cold spots on the radiator
And I will try to also adjust the fans maybe have them kick on a bit sooner and do the burping again

I personally don't trust running the fans off the thermostat, I use a toggle switch and keep them running.

i loosened the coolant temp sensor (the one for the dash gauge) and alot of air came out, then closed it when coolant started coming out. even tho i burped it anyway.

If you check temp of upper and lower temp. That will tell you rather thermostat is opening or waterpump not circulating

sure you don't have a blown or leaking head gasket? I had a slow leak with my supercharged 347 for a while, I would have to keep topping off my coolant (no water in the oil at this time) so I did a pressure test and found out my rad hoses were slightly loose, then a few weeks later while driving normal, the temp shot from 180 to 210 so I shut it off and checked the dipstick and sure enough-- water in the oil. pulled the heads off and found out I had a warped head. Just a thought.

Do you have a mechanical fan setup you can put on? Maybe your not pulling enough air.

Check to make sure your thermostat is opening? That's a quick easy fix and should only cost a few bucks
