Wantin to install aftermarket gauges in my 02 gt. should i go with mechanical or electrical ones? Also what would be the best/easiest way to install these while keepin the stock gauges working also? Been tryin to look stuff up but cant find anything specific on the installation/wiring on this. Any help is approciated thanks cafords

They should come complete with wires and sending units hopefully. its more like a plug n play and it would be beneficial to look up how certain guages work electrically vs mechanically. Like oil pressure I would think mechanically works better along with vac/boost and fuel and coolant temp probably does better electrically like the stock one does

I had a mechanical one in my last 5.0 and the line busted and oil spilled everywhere almost caught fire so lookin at the electrical ones also reason to getting them is that the stock gauges on the 99-04 will read high oil press. Anything after 6psi nd the temp gauge id imagine is the same. So lookin lookin what would be my best choice to get actual readings install doesnt seem to hard its the wiring that puzzles me.

Yea I see your issue with the oil one and its actually happened to me before too just slipped my mind. But if you want to just stick with the style of the factory guages. If its electrical just tap into it of its mechanical plumb the line yourself
