Tranny is popping out of second gear. What is the cause of it And what do I need to fix it?or am I better of just getting a different one.

mine pops out of 2nd on a down shift I was told it needs a rebuild

Ive also heard that if your clutch cable isnt adjusted right it can cause pop out from the clutch not engaging properly could be wrong though

I have a short throw and mine only pops out on down shift to My cable is adjusted right I think dose anyone know sOmeone on here that rebuilds them

You slider keys are damaged or broken, common problem from slammin gears

Try adjusting the shift points I had same issue with a tranny I bought I had thought I had gotten screwed I adjusted n it was all good..gl bro n I think 24sonnotch or something like that is his screen name rebuilts them bro check clist I got my wc t5 for 3 with a short shifter with little ovr 25k miles..

Yup, time to rebuild.
No fluid, clutch adjustment, or driving style adjustment is going to help on this one.

It can be your Throw out bearing not being positioned correctly, mines pops out of reverse until i took it to a shop an pointed it...

no not time for a rebuild just a repair. most likeley needs a second gear and a 1-2 syncro sleeve. inspect the input shaft for wear and take up the end play. i fix em all the time for endurance race guys. u can rebuild if you want at the same time just add another 265 dollars in parts on top of the second gear and syncro sleeve bill.

very true^^^ but most guys on this board do nt even change their own oil lol they would think thats taking a tranny out is too much work to just f the syncro lol

Very true you can get away by doing the minimum to get back in a race but y, ur in there all ready do the whole thing . Do it right the first time.
