98 Cobra, STOCK BLOCK, 90k on it and has had no bolt on's till I just got it and started doing some. Motor seems to be in good shape and I want to add some boost. Kenne Bell 2.1 @ 6 psi... or A procharger. I am guessing I could run 8-10 psi since it has a intercooler. Benefits to either? I have been leaning on the KB because I think it would be fun to have all the low end power. I don't want something that is just going to blow up my block. Otherwise I'd just save up for a termi swap. Any experience you have with either would be great. I know I have posted on this in the last month but I am really having a hard time decided on what setup to go with. Keep in mind this is a Daily Driver, I drive it everyday of the week. 20+ miles everyday and I don't mind a long road trip.

I would say the Kennebell because of it's drivability and because TwinScrew/Roots type superchargers don't have boost lag like some centrifugal superchargers and the KB won't be as obnocsious. There is also room to grow with the KB and it can support just as much boost as the procharger P-1SC.
Just my opinion..... Kennebell

Room to grow? I have heard nothing but the opposite. I thought the KB couldn't grow at all because it is not intercooled... So even if I built the bottom end of my motor I couldn't add much boost because it would just be so hot it would pull a ton of timing out of the motor. I am interested in the Kennebell but thought it would be a deadend of a add on.

"Room to grow". Boost wise- if you upgraded your bottom end, the potential is there. That's what was referring to. I'm sure some others will chime in and be able to give you a more definitive answer than I can.

After talking to the people at Kennebell and considering my options, I feel like the KB is a waste with only going to about 350rwhp on my 98 cobra. The fact that it is not intercooled is such a draw back and limits my boost so much. They said 6lbs on 91 is the most I could ever do. So I am think of going back to a procharger or vortech, Or I guess I could think about a 03 swap, but I really wanted to see what I could do with B-heads and boost.

+1.
no heat soak on the procharger. KB is harder to tune for part throttle applications.

Anyone know the best place in the bay to buy a procharger from? Install... tune... etc... I would prefer south bay, since I am in San Jose.
