I have a 01 gt and it does a slight sqeeking sound untill i just put a small bit of pressure on the clutch it goes away...throwout bearing? Are they greaseable? How long do i have?

Are they greaseable? I dont have money to have it fixed and ive never dropped a trans on one

Try loosening your clutch cable just a little bit

I dont think i can,i have a firewall adjuster and its set all the way in.i grabbed the cable as it runs and when i wiggle it the noise changes. I realt dont want to drop it but looks like it needs to be done

For the time being you can just use WD-40 or some kind of spray-lubricant, open the inspection cover that the cable goes into and spray the TOB.

Also wondering the old owner said he changed the stock trans with an older one that looked a little differrnt when the stock one went bad,do i need to be running a older clutch cable? And do i still get a 01 throwout and clutch?

What? If you spray WD-40 on the TOB, you're going to get it all over the clutch. Lubricants on the clutch disc is no bueno.

yeah i dont think that would be a good idea, the clutch would pretty much not be a clutch anymore
