Okae I have an 89 gt vert, when I bought the car last year I had a speedometer and rpm problems. I changed the speed sensor and it works now but seems to be giving me the wrong speed and the rpm needle shoots up too 4000 rpms and stays there till I turn off the car. Anyone have a idea what's the issue.

is it justt the needle that stays up there or engine also?

Just the needle the engine seems too be idling regularly and drives regularly.

have you try opening it nd check if the needle is push way to close to the back of it? happen to me on my 98 cobra lol took it apart nd the push it to close to it
