Hey hows it going fellow members, i was wondering if any of you know how to figure out if i have gears on a rear end that's not installed on my car yet, this sn95 rear end came on a fox that i bought for parts a while back to do the 5lug swap on my notch, barely going to come around on installing it so i was just wondering whats the easiest way to figure this out. Also it was a pretty easy job when i dropped the rear end on the car, just wondering if maybe there's any tips you guys can give me when installing it on my car to make the job easier, or any parts that you guys recommend to swap on it rite now that the rear end is out other then axles? meaning aftermarket. Thanks fellas i appreciate any feedback or advice, thanks for looking...

real easy, mark a spot on the pinion flange on front of rearend then mark a spot on the axle or rotor. rotate the axle/rotor one full rotation back to the same spot while counting the amount of times the pinion flange goes around. 2 3/4 would be a 2:73 3 times would be a 3:08 3 1/4 would be a 3:37 3 1/2 would be a 3:55 3 3/4 would be 3:73 4 times a 4:10 You get the idea

Another easy meathod is to divide the pinion gear by the ring gear. 41/10. 4.10S

Another way you could find out for sure is to open up your rear end and check. Lots of the time the gear ratio is put onto either the ring, or pinion. If you're in need of a rear axle fluid change anyway this would be a good way of tackling two needed tasks at one time.
