Currently in the process of changing rear output seal on T5 transmission. I have removed old seal, but can seem to get the new seal to seat!! Its from autozone and is a Timeken.

Im not sure if its a fitment problem on the seal itself or the way im trying to install..

Im using a pipe and wooden block to make shure it pops in even..but only a certain portion of the seal goes in.

so any technique or tool used?

thanks

Put some muscle into it, I've never had a problem doing it with just a socket and hammer....

Might want to buy a different brand seal and start over. You may have jacked that one up.
