My car was dumping smoke out of exhaust and I tested the compression and it was good so yuan I figured it was head gasket so I pulled the heads and my gaskets look solid and there was water in my cylinders I'm really in desperate need of some help anything will do thank you oh and I still havent got my heads checked

Maybe the water passages in the lower intake started to leak into the intake ports? Just a suggestion. Did they use sealant on both sides of the intake manifold gaskets by the water passages?

Yea that might be the problem right there if the intake bolts where loose and there was no sealant around the water passages that could cause a leak the passages are right next to the intake ports. Was it leaking any water from the front or rear of the lower intake?

Before all this happened were you havin to put oil and water in but it wasnt visibly leaking? Or just water? Or just oil?

Dumb ?..... You sure its out the exhaust (were you seeing it as you drove or were you outside the car?)
Only reason I ask, my oil dipstick somehow came loose one day and when I got on it oil would spill out the hole and burn. Id look back and see smoke. So it was more under the car vs out the exhasut but had the same apperance. Just another possible answer. -Joe [ March 04, 2011, 09:18 PM: Message edited by: bottled95GT?? ]

dipstick is the driver side the problem is on the passenger side it sounds to me like a bad gasket seal

its common for the exhaust valve to be discolored.

I think it's gonna end up being either an intake gasket leak or a cracked head. good luck with it!
