Hi there fellow ford ford fanatics, I have just purchase a 90 lx 5.0 hatch that is bone stock in the suspenion department. I want to do a five lug conversion, but am clueless on where to satrt and what is needed, Ive heard many different ways and would like to accomplish my goal by not spending a ton of money. Perferably would like to install disc brakes in rear as well, any help or input on ur current setups would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Best way to convert to 5 lug, allows largest selection in wheels.

Also have rear caliper, rotor, anti-moan bracket kitsnavailable in as nice condition as my front sets.

Let me know if you have any questions

So it was direct bolt on to ur stock drum brake rearend with his kit? How does it stop and did you have to use a different master cylinder? Sorry for all the questions i just wanna get it rite the first time.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to change the cylinder. Most people change the proportioning valve I didn't on mine. The flanges on the rear are all the same it's just getting the right axle and bracket and Tim ( mustangguy) can set you up with all u need.

you need to change the master cylinder and gut out the pressure valve in the stock prop valve when switching to rear disc brakes.

with drum brakes there is always some residual pressure left in the rear brake line for the drum system.

I didn't change my master cylinder and have never had a problem. In that link it says it's optional not required

the booster is optional, the master cylinder and prop valve changes are not.
