Okay so , I just want to know what is the difference between a hydraulic roller camshaft and a solid roller camshaft ? And do they use different engine blocks? Or will they both work in your standard 5.0L block? Thanks for the help fellas.

I've had several solid lifter cams in cars before. They're such a PITA to adjust, I'd never run one on the street again.

To answer your question, no you don't need a special block, you can run a solid roller in any SBF block.
