Author Topic: Hydraulic or solid roller ? coupedup ¯ Member # 9987 posted                              Okay so , I just want to know what is the difference between a hydraulic roller camshaft and a solid roller camshaft ? And do they use different engine blocks? Or will they both work in your standard 5.0L block? Thanks for the help fellas. They're such a PITA to adjust, I'd never run one on the street again. To answer your question, no you don't need a special block, you can run a solid roller in any SBF block.
