thats actually the same set im running rite now.
I agree with you on not trusting aluminum brackets on your brakes.
you will need to run at least a 1" spacer up front for latemodel rims (bullitts) and you will need to either install 3" studs or use the bolt on spacers, the ones with studs attached, like the ones in this link
